About Automatic Single Yarn Strength Tester

2024-08-01 21:46:55

The Fully Automatic Single Yarn Strength Tester is used to measure the physical indicators of a single yarn or fiber, such as breaking strength, elongation at break, breaking strength, breaking time and strength-elongation curve.

The Automatic Single Yarn Strength Tester is controlled by computer and Soc dual processor, equipped with Windows operating system, high-resolution color display, keyboard, mouse and printer, making data collection, calculation and output fully automated.

Automatic Single Yarn Strength Tester composition:

The fully automatic single yarn strength machine consists of four parts: main machine, printer, yarn insertion rack, and touch screen PC. The appearance of the instrument is shown in the figure below:

Full-automatic Single Yarn Strength Tester

The main machine adopts a box-type structure, which is equipped with a Soc processing module, a transmission mechanism, a force measuring mechanism, a length measuring encoder and a drive circuit.

The transmission mechanism adopts an imported DC servo driver and a permanent magnet DC motor (with a tachometer generator). The motor shaft output drives the chain through a gear reducer. The lower clamp is connected to the chain, and the lower clamp can be smoothly moved up and down by controlling the motor to rotate forward and reverse at a uniform speed.

The rear end of the instrument gear reducer is connected to a high-precision encoder, and the encoder output signal is 0.05mm/pulse. The elongation error is much smaller than ±1mm, which ensures the accuracy of length positioning and elongation measurement.

The drive circuit includes a sensor amplifier circuit and an input and output signal interface circuit. It mainly controls six electromagnetic valves, manipulator transmission, yarn rack transmission, as well as button signals and limit switch signals.

Working principle of the Single Yarn Tensile Strength Tester:

Automatic test:

1. First set the test parameters and install the sample.

2. Press the "Start" button on the operation panel. The manipulator returns to the lowest position, and the lower clamp rises to the top at the highest speed and stops when it hits the upper limit switch.

3. Clamp the sample and then move downward. When it leaves the upper limit switch, it is used as the starting point of the length measurement. Sample the number of pulses of the encoder. When it reaches the set clamping length, the lower clamp stops moving.

4. The manipulator clamps the sample and applies pre-tension, and the upper clamp is sucked in. The lower clamp is stretched at the set speed. The force sensor begins to bear force.

5. After one stretching is completed, the computer processes the sampled data to obtain data such as breaking strength, breaking strength, breaking elongation, breaking elongation, breaking work, breaking time, fixed strength elongation, and fixed elongation strength.

6. The broken residual yarn is automatically sucked by the yarn suction box.

7. The instrument repeats the above process for the next test. When the test of one tube is finished, the front yarn frame moves one grid to the right, and the pneumatic scissors cut the previous yarn. The manipulator moves up to the highest point to take the next yarn for testing.

8. After all the tests are completed, the instrument stops working, and the single value of the test data as well as the maximum value, minimum value, average value, and CV value are displayed by pressing "Data Statistics". Users can choose to print and save the data.

Manual test: When the sample is not suitable for automatic test, you can choose manual test mode.

1. After setting the test parameters, press the "Start" button. The manipulator moves up to the highest position and stops when it touches the upper limit switch.

2. Run down to the clamping length. Take out the sample, place one end on the clamping surface of the upper clamp, press the "Start" button, and the upper clamp will be closed (if the yarn is not clamped well, press the "Stop" button to release the upper clamp, and then press the "Start" button to clamp the yarn again), place the other end of the yarn on the lower clamping surface, press the "Start" button to close the lower clamp, and the instrument automatically performs a tensile test.

3. The test data obtained after a test is completed (the same as the data of the automatic test method). The lower clamp moves back to the clamping length for the next test. The data statistics are equivalent to the automatic test.
